In 1975, the Moulin Roty workshop created a small wooden car, with soft foam and fabric. This car was such a success at trade shows and markets, that Moulin Roty received an order for 1500 small cars. This encouraged the group to change their direction and make products for the toy and nursery market. Later in 1975, a whole range of toys was designed with the small car, including wooden and fabric rocking toys. These toys were a huge success.
